Wantirna Primary is a “small school with BIG results” and is known to promote educational opportunity, excellence and tolerance in an exciting learning environment that has been recognised and celebrated by experts as being better able to adapt to the needs of students.

Our unique Junior Learning and Senior Learning Unit class structure enable our skilled teachers to better cater for individual learning styles and personalities, using our flexible learning spaces. Recent installation of interactive whiteboards has embedded the use of ICT in delivery of an exciting and engaging curriculum.

Underpinned by excellent literacy and numeracy teaching and learning practice, students are provided with curriculum and learning experiences that develop a love of learning and promote the core values of learning, persistence, respect and teamwork.

Children, teachers and parents work together to ensure that school is a happy, positive and rewarding experience for all. Indeed, as “everyone knows everyone” at Wantirna Primary — with caring community members thriving on relationships – student wellbeing is a genuine priority.

Building the Education Revolution update...

After last year creating an open learning "L-SPACE" (Learning - Student Participation And Cooperation Environment) and installing Teamboard interactive whiteboard technology in all classrooms, we await the start of construction of our $850,000 JLU (Junior Learning Unit Centre. Stay tuned for further updates...

In our school entrance is a poster (see below) featuring the face of every child of our school. Not only is it wonderful to see every child’s artwork and their perception of themselves, but it also captures the Department of Education’s motto of “every child, every opportunity”. Being a small school, we promote participation and celebrate the resulting successes.

every child - every opportunity

As a result of our quality teaching practices and the school's growing reputation I am conducting many tours for Prep 2011 each week. Many visitors comment on the lovely feel around the school, how happy the children are and the tidy state of our grounds and facilities. It makes me reflect on what a vibrant school and environment we share.

If you are yet to enrol your child in a school, please call our office to arrange a personal tour.
