Welcome to Wantirna Primary School

Wantirna Primary is a "small school with BIG results" and with our new Early Years Learning Centre, strong buddy program and home learning programs we believe your child can get the possible start to their education at Wantirna Primary School. Our unique Junior Learning and Senior Learning Unit class structure enables our skilled teachers to better cater for individual learning styles and personalities, using our flexible learning spaces. The innovative use of the interactive whiteboards has embedded the use of ICT in delivery of an exciting and engaging curriculum. Underpinned by excellent literacy and numeracy teaching and learning practice, students are provided with curriculum and learning experiences that develop a love of learning and promote the school values of we CARE -

C - compassion

A - achieve

R - respect

E - engage

Children, teachers and parents work together to ensure that school is a happy, positive and rewarding experience for all. Indeed as "everyone knows everyone" at Wantirna Primary - with caring community members thriving on relationships - student wellbeing is a genuine priority.

Choosing the right school for your child is important. We are very proud of our school and would like the opportunity to show your around so you can meet our wonderful students and staff. Call our Principal Heather Norbury on 9801 1938 for a personal tour of the school.

We look forward to meeting you!

In our school entrance is a poster featuring the face of every child of our school. Not only is it wonderful to see every child’s artwork and their perception of themselves, but it also captures the Department of Education’s motto of “every child, every opportunity”. Being a small school, we promote participation and celebrate the resulting successes.

As a result of our quality teaching practices and the school's growing reputation I am conducting many tours for Prep 2015 each week. Many visitors comment on the lovely feel around the school, how happy the children are and the tidy state of our grounds and facilities. It makes me reflect on what a vibrant school and environment we share.

If you are yet to enrol your child in a school, please call our office to arrange a personal tour on 9801 1938
