We are proud of our eLearning program at Wantirna Primary School. ELearning is not a separate subject, it is embedded into our teaching and learning practice. We are resource rich, every classroom has an interactive whiteboard, we have class sets of netbooks, iPads, Flip Cameras and desktop computers with LCD screens. In fact, we have enough digital resources in our school now so every child can use a piece of technology at once throughout the school, without needing to share.
Our students learn to use technology sensibly, to help enhance their learning and not to replace the learning that happens in the classrooms. Students at Wantirna Primary School take part in the following eLearning opportunities:
• Music Recording
• Movie Making
• Contributing to Wikis
• Interactive Whiteboard Use
• Comic Creation
• Game Making
• Digital Photography

1-1 iPad program:
Our new one-to-one iPad program supports learning across the year levels and subject areas. Students use their devices to research, record and investigate their learning, utilising a huge variety of apps and websites including iMovie, bubbles, edmodo, reading eggs, mathletics, to support their learning; it is utilised as an additional learning tool rather than replacing other ways of learning.
